Notes from our Prez

ARTMA drop-off day is Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the home of Deborah Carlson. _______________________________________ ARTMAThe drop-off your pieces day is Saturday, January 31, at my house, starting at about 10AM - 7PM. My address is 5600 E. Powers Ave., Greenwood Village, CO, 80111. This is so I can make sure they are packed correctly and can photograph the pieces. I do have some empty boxes here if you can’t find one that is suitable. Don’t forget your present for the child. This will be packed separately and taken to ARTMA on the night of the event, so you can hand it to your child artist. If you can’t make it to the event, one of us will make sure your child gets it. If the child doesn’t make it to the event, then I will make sure to get it to the Morgan Adams office, and they will get it to the child. You will have to fill out the donation form for ARTMA also. The members like to have drop-off day on one day as they would love to see what each person has made. However, if you can’t come that day, you can bring your pieces to the meeting on February 8, at the Penfound’s studio. I can transfer them into my car and bring them to my house. If you want to bring goodies to eat on drop-off day, feel free to do that. You might want to stay and help. Give me a text if you have problems with those drop-off dates. We can work out something else for you. ARTMA is on February 28, at the Southglenn shopping area, in the old Best Buy store. You will have a free ticket waiting for you at the event if you have done a piece. You can also donate one of your pieces for the regular art part. Contact Rachelle, at Morgan Adams Foundation, to learn more about that.
GLASS SALEI have a huge assortment of full sheets of glass from the days when I was doing panels, which I would love to sell for $30 each. You must buy the whole sheet. I also have lots of scrap glass I can sell you in bulk at a huge discount. I do take credit cards. So, if you want to look through what I have, the 31st would be the day to do it. Bring your own separation paper. Keep in mind that I am getting ready for a solo show, starting February 12, so my studio may be a slight mess. (You are all invited to opening night, btw). UPCOMING MEETINGThe next regular meeting will be on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, at 1:00PM at the home/studio of the Penfounds.
Thank you to everyone who has done a piece (and sometimes two pieces) for ARTMA. Hope you are all making plans to be at this event. Tickets can be purchased on the www.morganadamsfoundation.org website. My phone number for texting me is below. See you soon.

MOVING STUDIO SALE UPDATE: I just returned from Mexico and headed to Corning. The plan is for me to determine what I can take with me and what I need to sell in February. I will be calling folks on the waiting list to come out and take things no later than mid-February. If you are not yet on the waitlist, please let me know what you would like. For more info or to get on the waitlist, contact Gwendolyn Morgan at designer@mountaingirlglass.com
Hey, all ... just a heads-up. I will be moving my studio to Mexico over the next several months. I am in the beginning phase of deciding what to move and what to sell. Things I'll possibly be selling include 4 kilns, various types of grinders, a lap wheel, a sandblaster, a saw, glass, etc. Oh, and molds ... I have a ton of them, many never used.

Video can’t be displayed

This video will give you a glimpse of some of the things in my studio. Soooooo ... if you are in the market for anything, please contact me, I may have what you need.
